  2. It'll take me a fcuking week to get it sorted mate, the soreness is the worst but losing the bike breaks my heart. I thought I found true happiness. I'm gutted. Bad day for me.
  3. I'm recovering from a bike wreck that I had yesterday afternoon while coming back from the gym. I went down head first after hitting a speed bump. My head smashed into the pavemant along with my legs. Helmut absorbbed most of the blow to the head. Wrist are sore from the impact, legs are bruisde up bad, sore as the devil. Bike is destroyed.

  5. Jamie Foxx. I didn't know. Dog bless him....
  6. If they kick the blonde guy out of the room I will let her learn to play my skin flute.
  7. Got my latest Covid booster yesterday. Feeling a bit peekish today, but not too bad. Nurse said I should wait 2 weeks for the flu shot. I took her advice and will go back for that.
  8. OMG.... cat shit would send me over the edge. Only thing worse is cat piss. One of the worst smells of all time. Dead rotting bodies, fresh arson scenes, and cat piss smells can make my head snap. Even the memory of such smells can make me squirm.
  9. If you go with a local attorney that is tied into a group (say if something happens to him) that would be good. Also, if he/she is experienced in these matters. A local attorney may make it easier on you as in person meetings can also be done, and delivering documents, getting notaries, etc. can be easier. Expect fees, but they should not be too bad. Keep copies of everything and stay organized with all of it. Explain everything in detail to wifey, rinse and repete often.
  10. Bruce Willis... Could happen to any of us.
  11. They emailed me the form. I downloaded it, filled in the info. Checked the appropriate boxes and emailed it back. They are now reviewing it. Once that review process is completed I sign it and return. I am assuming with a document such as this there will need to be some sort of signiture veritication (docu sign or some app. like that). In some cases with documents you "wet sign" the document, scan it, download it to your computer, then email back with the attached copy of the signed scan. It depends on the document, high percentage of legal stuff can now be completed on line. Things that require a notary or witness may require sending it through the mail. Getting a Thai notary should be easier than such documents that go back to the U.S. (I'm guessing that with GB it would be the same). In that case you have to make an appointment at the embassy. I will update you in P.M. as I go through the process. ------------------------------- Througout this process there will be things that we do over the phone (which requires an appointment). Then once each side is comfortable and "on the same page" they send you the forms. You completed the forms and send it for review, etc. But almost all of it can be done from your couch (no joints allowed when conducting such business....lol).
  12. I would do my very polite, respectful expression for my wifes well being, along with a reasonably delivered discussion that several friends and other professionals have recognized what the likely reason is for the sometimes debilitating pain, stress it is causing, and the serious nature of her condition. Then I would smile and give him my 1000 yard lazer stare that would communicate I was about to snap. We would be walking out the door with appointment papers. If not he would be getting a call from a lawyer the next day.
  13. If you have the wills filed with a legal agency they should be notified of your condition. The agency would then contact the representatives at the the provider (typically a doctor, sometimes two of them) where you are being cared for. If you want to be extra covered I would have indiviual copies of the will filed with each hospital where you may likely go (I know can be impossible to predict). Back in North Carolina you could file a living will with a program run by the Secratary of State, supposedly this was a protocol for having your wishes formally on file and the data accessable. There would be a meeting with your surrogate (family member identified, or legal rep.), two doctors, and your will document making the final joint decision to pull the plug.
  14. Working on mine now...Living will draft being reviewed by the lawyer, hope to have the last will in for review by the end of next week. Both of those services will be free with the plan I am on. Following that I will be working on serveral other legal related things that they wil charge a fee for, but it will be a fraction of the cost from what I would have paid back in the U.S. (and probably much more trustworty).
  15. Ref. the slippery tiles. I saw a Thai guy pull into a 7/11 I was taking cover in today. He gets off his motorbike along with his two young kids. As they come out of 7/11 the two kids where giggilng about the new rain gear dad had just bought for them. As they were walking across the walkway dad (in his flip flops) slipped on the tile and almost took a header. Then he and his two kids got on the motorbike and drove off in the rain. All I could do was cringe and look the other way, praying that they got away from me before slamming into a truck. Hard for me to watch that kind of thing.
  16. Hit some minor flooded areas on my ride a couple of days ago, but nothing I couldn't manage. Last year around this time the Ping River overflowed and made a mess of the area I was living in. Changklan Road was like a river.
  17. Looks like you knocked yourself out on that one mate. Had a good heaping of scrambled eggs (with a slice of cheese melted in) and some toast today as well. Funny thing.... I never get tierd of eating eggs.
  18. I hated raking leaves with a passion. Now all i have to do is whisk a few of them off into the moo every few days and a lady makes the rounds and picks them up. I have a gardener who comes around every few weeks and whacks the garden, 300 baht (I always give him a nice tip, friendliest guy in the World).
  19. Good post Jambo. Indeed life is a roller coaster, especially when responsible for other people. The thing that wore me down the most near the end was supervising people. Many of the employees were constantly throwing curve balls, either intentionally or unitentionally. Along with that some of the others at my level or above were shucking off their responsibilities. So a heavier burden fell on me. Stress and resentment began to add up. I refused to join the club of half assed effort and laziness. In my eyes and soul it was just not acceptable. I knew that holding on longer would only be to my detrement. The day the magic number hit I turned my stuff in, walked out ther door and have never returned. No bitterness whatsoever, it's just how I chose to manage it. The experience and memories will be with me every day. But sometimes it is best to just cut and go. Not one regret.
  20. Yes. Proper bite alignement can be very important for health reasons, especially as we get older. Correcting a bad bite can also reduce headaches and many other health related issues. She will be much happier after getting over the recovery. https://www.newmouth.com/orthodontics/treatment/orthognathic-surgery/
  21. yep. something that has always amazed me. Chicks with perfect little titties blowing them up. Same with those disgusting huge asses they inflate. No attraction whatsoever.
