  1. If you get the chance watch the movie "Greyhound" Tom Hanks. It's on Apple TV. Tremendous movie.
  2. Songkran gives cnuts an free card to be their inner cnut selves. They are like dogs, out in packs. This makes it difficult to challenge them because they will gang up on you. They take advantage of this as an excuse. Individually they would be weak cowards (which is what they actually are). That is primarily why I adhere to strict avoidance. The event offers zero meaning to me or positive experiences. The negatives are huge. I want absolutely nothing to do with any of it. Tomorrow should be back to "normal" for me. Back to the gym and the end of this nonsense.
  3. Fit as a fiddle.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU7SubfQpO8
  4. That's a solid mate. I rode some dirt bikes but not much when I was a kid. When I was 19 bought a used Honda 125 cc. One day braked on some gravel and went down. Didn't get injured but that was the last time I personally rode one. I just ain't cut out for it. But a bicycle... I can handle one of those like a dog handles a bone. But accidents can still happen, had one not very long ago. When a motorcycle passes by me fast I can't help but think about how far the rider would fly upon impact.
  5. I have been planning on getting one of those little metal tea contraptions. And using it to make different teas. But, I am a lazy fcuk and those things require a little bit of extra cleaning effort. So, I just stick with the standard black tea bags. Twirl three of them together place it in the teapot. Fill the teapot with water from the kettle. Gives me three nice cups. A morning ritual. Those cups of tea are on the top of the list of things I love, and would have a difficult time not having them.
  6. Well there is some commonality. Either place you will get wet when going out. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity" Harry Carey quote (at least how I remember it). The humidity can be brutal. But I will still take it anyday over cold, wind and snow. Sub freezing, bone breaking weather did not agree with me. The older I got the tougher it was to deal with. https://stopevaporation.com/heat-humidity-evaporation/
  7. i am happy for you on getting the bike (although at the same time I don't approve). But I know you are an experienced rider and that you love riding. Not some clown renting a bike on a holiday or some kid on a sport bike trying to show off. Keep us updated. I actually appreciate well made motorcycles and some designs. I ride a bike also, but it goes much slower. lol
  8. Having a friend like that go to bat for you can be golden. The ups and downs of travelling, always have to be slightly out of your comfort zone. In other words..... expect the unexpected and stay flexible. That is a big reason I carry my backpack and wallet with me just about everywhere. The other documents can survive smoke (but humans can't), fire well yes (but percentages are small), smoke though can take you down quickly. Basic couple of rules - when there is heavy smoke go to the floor. Crawl your way to an exit and go down backwards. When at a door.... feel it. If it is hot don't open it. Good chance is if you do you will get roasted. I understand your judgement and decision to go back to your room. But mate, reconsider it next time. It would be a major headache to deal with losing those documents, but there are resources that can help you get through all of that. Your friends won't leave you hanging. A lung full of hot smoke will do you in quicker than a crazy Farang on a motorbike. If you want a nice hotel in that price range check out the Whitehouse Condotel, Soi 13. Ask for Jon Smith (Brit GM). If he has a room open he will take care of you. Great guy and great hotel.
  9. Not a group to mess with when they get fired up. lol A group of them pissed off will tear to shreds a bunch of fcuked up wankers.
  10. The Brenn I knew. Not sure about the other. Those rifle muzzles must get hotter than a mother. I wouldn't want to have to tote one of those around after funneling a few dozen rounds through them. Fcuk. EOD guys have a lot of "tricks" to take care of shit. But, those guys have to have a few loose screws.
  11. I don't even want to watch the vid. Surely is some bent mo fo's here (especially in Patts). Clear the fcuksticks out. I am all for it, even if it means some extra effort and scrutiny for most of us.
  12. Nice one. Thanks for that.
  13. For sure mate. I felt kind of bad for the other dogs though. Many of them probably won't be that lucky. ------------------------------------ I've never felt comfortable with dog/house sitters. Too many things can go wrong. I had a great kennel operator out in the country. She (the owner) was wonderful. Then the last couple of years I didn't travel. I got so I just didn't feel right about it. Hated being away. That is a big reason why I have held off on getting involved with one (or two). I'm notching down my travel bug, will be pretty much done with in the next couple of years. Then back to being a family man with a couple of crotch sniffers.
  14. Several years ago I had a T-Mobile account for a few years. Then changed it to Verizon which turned out to be one of the worst decisions I have ever made. Now back to T-Mobile, still learning the ins and outs of the app and services (mind numbing at times). Anyway.... with that first T-mobile account I discovered that they were still charging me some fees long after I cancelled it. It was being charged to a CC that I quit using, but was still active. Eventually I caught it. Then I had to go to battle with T-Mobile who were claiming it was my fault... turned out it was someone who had hijacked my account. American big phone companies are dicks, like the banks. They are controlled by the U.S. governments distorted laws which came out of 9/11. It's all about tracking and controlling. The companies have many layers to make the average Joe grievances difficult. Example... T-Mobile said they had no record of the prior phone number I had with them because the number was terminated (by me), so they claimed no connected account info. was on file. Bullshit.
  15. What is that mate ? and good line.... being on the business end. lol I'd hate to be on the other end. A lot of hot metal those things throw out. Jesus
  16. What is the most significant health benefit it provides ? I may give it a go.
  17. Great strategy mate. I would sometimes take the BTS from Nana to Asok and then the walkway to Terminal 21. With only about 5 steps on Suk pavement, no road crossing, and less heat.
  18. Matthew Sweet. The main reason I am posting this is for the guitarist - Robert Quine. Also played with Lou Reed and many others. The guy rips it !
