  1. f**k me Larry Lloyd has died ... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68686126
  2. IMO the best place to sit and listen to Billabong and Triangle bars' live bands is in Katesiree ........ .........
  3. That is definitely my favourite bar in that area .... but on my last trip into town I discovered that the "railing seats" are not protected from the rain as the awning doesn't extend that far. Bloody annoying really !!
  4. Yep, the big fat Scammell Drivers always ended up with the prettiest girls !!!
  5. Ooooh f**k T2/T3 .....which one did you land at ..?? Finnair and EVA are neck and neck at the moment ...
  6. Could you briefly give walking directions from Immigration/Baggage Hall to the pick up point for cars please? EVA and National coaches were complete and utter bastards on my last trip so I might ask my son to pick me up ... and wizz along the M4 like you - but not as far..!!
  7. Same same Romford West when I was working in the area.. Bloody magnificent buffet breckie ..
  8. Brilliant! Now that I am back in Isaan this is what I see every morning whilst having my 6am coffee.. There are so many changes in Isaan since I first moved here in '97 but scenes like this still remain, although the days of buffalo ploughing the fields have long gone I am proud of showing my sons "real Isaan" before the changes began..
  9. I can't work out what the white stuff is in the small dish... sour cream maybe? How is it all eaten together? Sorry for my ignorance as I just eat chilli from the bowl with melted cheese on top and by dipping garlic bread into it..
  10. Wonderful picture reminiscent of so many renditions of the classic "Apple Blossom time" .. This has to be the best !!!
  11. It looks bloody delicious mate!!! The annoying thing is that when I was Kateleya's age, the calories would be burned off on an afternoon bike ride followed by a game of footie...I am sure it is the same for her too!!!! Nowadays my arteries are clogged just reading the ingredients !!
  12. Yes mate, I lived in Kamphaengpet for 8 years.. (I also put the first AIS GSM sites on air in Maesot and Umphang back in the day !) One consideration is how you intend to get to Maesot. If by car then you could get totally cut off by the floods in Nackon Sawang (including the ring road) like I did once .... 😲 EDIT = I was refering to village standard football whereby each village all over Thailand play their neighbours in a weeklong competition... Sort of like a village fete...It sometimes includes a women's competition too (That is where the real rivalry appears to be ..Eat your hearts out Leeds v Chelsea this can get REALLY dirty!!!!)
  13. Hahahaha I spent all my time in Pattaya living in the Isaan slums avoiding all of the above... A few managed to find me without getting ripped apart by the soi dogs though ......
  14. Ah Yes! Memories of Sgt's Mess Regimental Dinners playing "Are you there Moriarty?" ....
  15. September is my favourite month when "in the village" because that is when there is village football tournaments for a week Nationwide, normally held in the village school. It is great fun watching, drinking and eating food... Try and find out from the missus when yours is due and book it for those dates ..
  16. Nah mate. I reckon they will open just in time for the Loy Krathong holidays ..
  17. In all my travels working all over the world I have met good and bad from all Nations but if I had to select one it would be the Nigerians ...
