Fforest hi, thats more than 15 cents worth, give yourself a $. In the 70s I was a hippy, bumming my way around Europe & Asia so I was on a nodding aquaintence with most of the hallucinogenics around at the time. I'm a bit more careful what I put in my mouth these days so I've no first hand experience of Ketamine, although I might have drank some Ayahuasca a few years ago in Peru. Ketamine is not a natural substance so it's not as if the drug companies are messing with one of natures remadies,, don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of big business and I don't think they know what a moral conscience is but on the way to making money they have found treatments for many of the worlds ills, eg Covid 19. Biotech is one one the worlds leading cutting edge sciences so I don't think Jenssen (Spravato maker) has just bulked out Ketamine with baking powder to make a profit so I wouidn't call it a scam however they are happy to keep the price skyhigh, and let many be suffer, just to make an obscene profit.

I'm not looking for a generic version, I don't mind paying for the genuine artical. Sparvato is in a nasal spray so it is self administered, a lot of the cost is down to the fact that after taking it the patient must be monitored for two hours due to the fact that it can cause hallucinations and the manufacturers don't want to be sued if somebody jumped out of a window thinking they could fly. I understand that about about 16 doses are need which means being monitored for about 30 hours, private clinics in London charge £100-£200 per hour for this, whereas I'm sure I'm not going to be charged that in Thailand.

Butch hi, thanks for the input but i wouldn't be posting if I hadn't already tried all my other options. I'm drug resistant to at least 2 SSSRi medications which is the criteria for receiving Spravato treatment in the US the UK and I suspect Thailand as well. I could be treated with Spravato at a private clinic in London but as I said it's very very expensive, and even though it wouldn't be cheap in Thailand it would still nbe cheaper than eleswhere. If anyone could give me the names of some hospitals in Bangkok I could contact which may offer treatment I would be very grateful.

Thanks guys, I'm 73 and I've been to Thailand many times since 1971. Spravoto is cleared for use in the Uk but not approved for use by the NHS in England for various reasons the main one being the cost, however it has been accepted for NHS use in Scotland (go figure). private clinics offer treatment in the UK but at substantial cost. It is a derivative of Ketamine so as you say it will be a controlled substance, but I'm hoping some hospitals and clinics in Thailand will offer treatment at a lower cost than in the UK. In the past I've had dental work and some emergency hospital treatment in Bangkok and I think the facilites and care was first class.

Hi, yes that's correct, I've tried 2 different types of SSSRis and I seem to be drug resistant to the pills. I've read positive reports of Spravato and I hope to be retiring in Thailand from September.
  6. Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to get Esketomine ( also known as Spravoto) in Thailand, it can only be perscribed by a doctor. I can't get it on the NHS here in England and it's incredably expensive at a private clinic, at least £10,000 for a course of treatment. Any info much appreciated.
  7. Hi to you all, I've been coming toThailand since 1971 and now I've decided to move here now I'm retired
  8. hi all, just joined this forum. I've been visiting Thailand since 1971 and now feel it's time to kick-back and move here. Jack
