Never tried the street sausages in Thailand.

I guess I have always worried what was in them!

A lot of the Isaan-style sausages have rice in them, a bit of meat(?) and a lot of fat. There was a lady that sold them every weekday afternoon outside my building in Bangkok/Silom. Very tasty...but if you left them in the fridge they'd turn to a big glob of fat.

Thai street food -- love it or leave it...

just rest assured that it will always fill you up and cure a bad hangover. 🥳

This is an interesting thread. Lot's of cool photos. Got me looking through my collection of Thailand travel snaps. This is the allied POW cemetery in Kanchanaburi. I have been there a couple of times and make it a point to pay my respects to the young lads laid to rest there. Thank them for giving their all basically for all of us.

Can you tell me mate if the Red Rose Hotel is still open in Chiang Rai ??

Quite an interesting place to stay....I have made use of one of the jungle rooms, the one with the waterfall and the bed like a treehouse above, also the Venice room where the bed is on a gondola which actually floats on water, many more to explore one day i hope.....

Bollox, looks like i will not be trying anymore of the rooms then, unless of course somebody takes the place over and re-opens.

But many thanks mate for your reply.

That first photo woke me up, lovely

Bangkok's Silom Soi Thaniya was/is a good spot to watch the world go by...had great ice coffee for about 40 baht, and even a Carl's Jr. for awhile. Met some interesting folks there up until the Covid era. Last time there for me was July '19. Would be interesting to see today.
