Street Photographs From Pattaya Area

Beach Road is virtually down to single land traffic from Mike's Mall through to Walking Street.  The backlog can be felt along the whole length of Beach Road and indeed on Naklua Road, Dolphin Circus and the road running alongside terminal 21.  This afternoon around 1500 hours it took 25 minutes to get from Naklua Road to Central Festival on the Baht bus.

The Avenue is getting like the piers at Blackpool - no candy floss however.

And it affects pedestrians badly as well. Anyone walking south from roughly Soi 13 would be advised to use Second Road if they can.

Wonder if a lot of traffic seeing Klang backed up towards Beach Rd are diverting to Buakhao. Sitting at Easy R Con last night south bound traffic on Buakhao was backed up past the S bend. Motorbikes were getting through just fine, but those in cages were barely moving.

Yes, effectively single lane traffic from Mike,s Mall to Walking Street. Choc a bloc with cars and baht busses still stopping.

Great clear pics, now this pic frightens me, all those PG up at the same time and apparently close together, how do they avoid any accidents ? When i was here in the late 80's i saw one come down on Koh Larn from 30/40 feet, guy was lucky he only broke his legs. Having done PG myself twice in Corfu and the Seychelles only one PG was allowed up at a time to circle the bay, safety was paramount.

Not quite as congested today as yesterday, although Sunday afternoon Beach Road is normally quite busy.  But being reduced effectively to one lane must take its toll.

This was a shot taken with my normal lens from same location as all subsequent photographs.  A 600ml lens was used for all the rest.

A postage stamp could contain more info about cameras than I know, but is that a 600mm lens?  Almost 2 feet long in old money?

Just around one foot without lens hood and 15 inches with lens hood.

weighs 2.01 kg.

Heavy to hold for any period of time.  It is actually a 150 to 600 ml but only used when I need the longer lengths. Used for aeroplanes  paragliders and really long shots.

First photo with the girl in the white dress, she looks like she is perfect, I'd marry her.

I hate to poor cold water over things but my radar detection unit is sounding the ladyboy alarm!  It could of course be wrong.
