Most likely measle meat in the Kebab. I never eat them. Especially with meat carved from those rotating spits. The temperature in the middle is ideal for bacteria and we never know how long the meat has been hanging around.

Only ever eaten that style of kebab in the Philippines and I found out early on that these were not going to allow my stomach a rest in the morning, that was also many years ago in the 90s.  I have never eaten a kebab in the UK or anywhere else since.

Just completed my twice weekly lateral flow Covid 19 test.  Negative result for Covid 19.

Is that for a 10 day isolation period?

Do you have to formally advise the result of each test?

I must admit I have eaten kebabs in Pattaya and Bangsaray following a night on the piss. I imagine I have been really lucky to get away without a bout of Ghandi's revenge.

I have had full blown food poisoning twice in Thailand both times from eating seafood.

Been invited to a VIP event at the Grosvenor Casino in Leicester Square on Wednesday, so just booked train tickets, along with a lady friend I'm taking as my guest . . :default_party-smiley-048:

Using my railcard for my ticket (she's much younger than me . . 😜) two return 1st class tickets from Lowestoft, Suffolk to Liverpool St only £64.35 . . 😄

Can't wait to sit down for an indoor dinner and free piss up - feels like yonks since that was possible.

No.  Briefly, I work as a Presiding Officer at elections; one of the conditions that the council impose is one has to do a series of lateral flow tests on the run up and after the election.  I have continued doing these tests as the kits are supplied free by NHS, either by post of self collect from a pharmacy or covid test centre.

There is an NHS website where you can register and report the results of these lateral flow tests.  It is voluntary, but I have always done it.  If you do register on the website you are not anonymous, but I do not have a problem with that.  So it is you can advise of result but it is not compulsory.  I don't know whether they use the information from this website to calculate hot spot areas or purely use the results of PCR tests at the official testing centres.

I think my issue is that I don't eat a lot of meat so ordering a kebab doesn't seem a treat.

I started ordering chicken off the spit in the Philippines after a few dodgy kebab incidents, the girls liked the chicken too.

Done a few Jollibees as well but normally a chicken burger.

In Thailand I tended to just grab some Oreos and have a cup of tea in my room. If I had a companion back in the day I would probably have eaten earlier so food on the way home was probably not needed although a trip to a 7/11 for toothbrush seemed to happen regularly.

I know quite a few people, myself included, who have to do the flow test on a weekly basis for compliance at work.

Yes it's a pain in the arse but no big deal to be honest. That said my current contract ends at the end of the month and I won't miss doing them.

Have 4 boxes with 7 tests in each right now, no doubt will receive at least another couple more before EOC. Maybe I should bring them with me to Thailand in July...

Woke up this morning and could see grey sky through my window blind; got up a while later and opened said blind to see snow falling  - thankfully it is tapering off and the small amount on the ground won't last long but I don't think it will be much of a weekend for many.

I'm really happy Leicester won the FA Cup. Those scenes at the end brought a tear to my eye. A proper football club, run brilliantly and inclusive. Brilliant to see the Thai owner on the pitch celebrating with Brendan, the players and the fans.

I resonate as an Ipswich supporter, until recently very similar sized clubs. We're under new owners now, new manager and a massive clear out of deadwood and a new team for next season on the horizon. Can't wait.

When I think back to the 70's and early 80's we won the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup, 2nd in the league twice, not out of the top 6 for many seasons. Won the old first division in 61/62, winning it after coming straight up the previous season. Alf Ramsay and Bobby Robson saw us win those trophies, those were the days, as they say.

I loathe these corporate types like Glazer at Man Utd, purely running it as a business and bleeding it dry via massive dividends, while the club is in huge debt. I absolutely get the Man U fans protesting.

So good to have the fans back too, was great to see that at Wembley today.

Getting ready for a day in front of ITV4.

Got a preview show for next week World Superbikes season start, then all 3 MotoGP races live from Le Man's, then another couple of documentary about the TT then the old 2 stroke GP bikes.

Awesome.

Meant to rain most of the day so will only be home anyway.
