Jaysus, hope she’s doing it because wants to rather than because she is skint at that age 🤞

She used to live near me at Evershot and a drinking buddy from my local, made her some bespoke glass chandeliers.
Believe me, at his prices, she ain’t broke.  😉

No mate the rules had changed from PCR to Test on arrival.

Walked through the door in England did a test and found out from there.

Meant to change again this week, where if vaccinated you won't even have to do the day 2.

Changing all the time and no doubt will again before Summer if not here elsewhere.

As far as whatever strain of Covid we all had (and I'm presuming Omicron) I wouldn't worry too much about it personally it really was nothing and hopefully will be the end of crazy measures .

My lads have been playing football in the garden all week and i'v even been on the treadmill and pushing weights so much for a disease that stops the world, thankfully we seem to be seeing sense now here.

Went on a hike yesterday on this trail up in a city called "Los Gatos" the trail ends, you end up in this "high end" area where all the rich people live. Then you go down about a mile, pick up the trail again, then end up back down where the people like I live LOL! All good..

Nice place. Must cost a small fortune just to keep the place clean. Although, maybe not.... I'd reckon most of the rooms in that crib are rarely even entered. Some light dusting is probably all that's needed. I'll stick with the two bedroom condo, with the gym and pool two floors up. Gives me less to fret over. Leaves me more baht to stash back into the "cushion fund" which took a big hit the last couple of years. I need to get the cushion built back up for the almost certain future "unexpected" expenses.

Life is a roller coaster.... you never know what's around the next corner.

I've known more people who have caught it in the last 5 weeks, than the whole of the pandemic.

Every one of say they had worse hangovers.

Omicron is very mild for the vast, vast majority, and hopefully an end to this debacle.

Well both the wife and son tested negative two days running now, after both testing positive on their PCR tests last week, so she’s back on the school run this morning after 7 days in quarantine. 🤗

Neither of them had any symptoms whatsoever, if you don’t count expecting to be waited on hand and foot being a symptom.  😡

And he is from Witchampton about 4 miles from me.

My Dad cycled to the paper mill for work before it closed down. I have vague memories of a "rock star" moving into the mill and buying beers in The Horton Inn for everybody but I don't think that it was Bob Fripp's style so probably somebody else.

On a personal note: I like to think that I sound like Bob when I am talking but in reality it is probably more like Worzel Gummidge!

Me and the missus tested positive for the Rona last night, this morning again as well, though daughter is negative and away to school as per the current 'rules'.

Bad headache, runny nose, a bit achey.

Just like a head cold, at least at the moment. Only pissed off at having to miss the gym, but hopefully get 2 negatives from days 5 and 6, get out again and back to normal.

Kinda pleased have got it now, as good timing for going to Turkey in 3 weeks, hopefully Thailand later in the year, so with vaccinated and now natural immunity as well, hopefully no positives.

Hope it stays that way for you ..

Even if your Daughter does get it I wouldn't worry too much she should be fine ..

Good luck

Do you have to get a PCR to confirm it and will that show up on your NHS app?

Just received some good news for Porn from HM Government -

Your application under the Partner (FLR M) route of the Immigration Rules has been successful.

You have been granted permission to stay in the UK until August 2024

Need a glass of Port each to celebrate.

That's great news, congratulations.

I am approaching an annual period of angst with my PO Box renewal..

It ends 31st January but they like it to be paid immediately ... so with the obvious Thai panache for  inefficiency they have yet to put the bill in my box ...and NO! I can NOT just go to the counter and pay without having a piece of paper in my hand even though it bloody well has the information on the bloody computer!

So it is a 2 hour walk for me everyday now until the bill appears and I can pay!
